In response to the disruptions caused by COVID-19, the Accreditation Commission for Higher Education (AHLAC) has made several updates to its rules and processes. These revisions align with and complement the temporary flexibility offered by the US Department of Education (USDE) to higher education institutions and accreditors, and have been approved by the Executive Committee or Commission as appropriate. Institutions have been notified of these changes through email communications, recorded broadcasts, and surveys. The schedule for these waivers is outlined below.
COVID-19 is a global concern, and AHLAC has received numerous inquiries regarding its operations. Recognizing the challenges faced by institutions during this time, AHLAC is committed to collaborating with all affected members.
AHLAC provides the following information as a resource for institutions, peer evaluators, and the public on the latest updates, policy waivers, and guidelines.
