Aligned with the new Application and Candidate Review Cycle and Monitoring Policy and Procedures, as well as United States Department of Education (USDE) regulations, AHLAC will initiate a membership expansion effort to widen the acceptance of domestic applications beyond current geographic boundaries starting in the fall of 2020. The moratorium on international applications will be lifted starting January 1, 2021.
Making AHLAC will utilize data throughout its processes to inform decision-making, explore the use of Student Clearinghouse Data as a membership requirement, and assess how predictive analytics can enhance the accrediting process.
AHLAC will explore revenue-generating alternatives, such as grant programs, that align with its mission, values, vision, and future directions
AHLAC will engage in lobbying activities to proactively educate stakeholders about the importance of accreditation and serve as an independent voice in the higher education landscape.
AHLAC will continue to explore innovative practices within the institution and among its member institutions, fostering and recognizing creativity.
AHLAC will conduct ongoing assessment and evaluation to ensure efficiency within the organization and its committees, consider alternative structures to better support the changing nature and increasing demands of accreditation, and evaluate the Standards for Accreditation and Requirements for Affiliation to ensure they fulfill AHLAC mission.
