A general evaluation provides information about the institution that issued the credential, the admission requirements for the certificate, diploma, or degree, the program type completed, the credential's date of completion, details about the postsecondary institution, our evaluation process, the evaluator's credentials, document references, and certification of its U.S. educational equivalent. This type of evaluation, known as a "General Evaluation," is the most basic form of international academic evaluation and is suitable for limited employment or further education purposes.

The standard course-by-course evaluation includes the general evaluation along with a detailed list of subjects studied, conversion of each grade to the American grading system, and calculation of both the Grade Point Average (GPA) and post-secondary credits earned. Standard course-by-course evaluations are typically required for any form of continuing education or employment purposes.

The most comprehensive evaluation available is the Immigration Course by Course evaluation, which includes the educational narrative and all components of the Standard Course by Course evaluation as required by USCIS for visa acceptance. In addition to being used for continuing education or employment, an immigration course-by-course evaluation is necessary for US visa and immigration applications.
