The Accreditation Commission for Higher Education (AHLAC) provides a comprehensive set of materials to support the accreditation review process and related activities, alongside the Standards for Accreditation and Requirements of Affiliation.
AHLAC categorizes its documents as follows, as outlined in the policy Review of Standards, Requirements of Affiliation, and Policies: policy statements, accreditation policies, administrative policies, procedures, guidelines, and templates (request forms). Each policy is accompanied by a set of procedures, consistent with AHLAC approach to policy development. Additionally, AHLAC may develop guidelines to assist and guide institutions, peer evaluators, and the Commission in conducting peer reviews and making accreditation decisions.
Member institutions and other interested parties are invited to review proposed accreditation policies and provide feedback as part of AHLAC systematic process for reviewing its accreditation standards, affiliation requirements, and policies.
The American Higher Learning Accreditation Commission (AHLAC) is pleased to invite public comments on its proposed revisions to our Standards for Accreditation and Requirements of Affiliation. Learn more about the revisions and provide input into this process by reviewing AHLAC President Dr. Heather F. Perfetti's recorded message and by visiting the 2024 Periodic Review of AHLAC Standards for Accreditation.
